Indian Election / Foreign Affair

The result of the Indian election for the parliament of 2019 will not only affect within its territory but will affect neighbors. Because India has many natural and artificial scopes to affect them. Moreover, the forthcoming Indian government will impact on South Asia through many aspects.

 The critical relation between India and Pakistan is one of the major problems of South Asia. Both have fought wars many times in the past. Terrorism and the issue of Kashmir are main problems between them. the border area, especially in Kashmir lives under the tension of army confrontation. The other problem is to check the growing mood of China around India because China wants to be a super economic power of the world in the near future.      
   
   Bharatiya Janata Party did not improve relation with Pakistan in the past five years. Though Indian Priminister Narendra Modi gave a soft impression when he entered the power in 2014 but the impression was not converted in practice. After the popular victory of Tehreek-e-Insaf Party Pakistan, most of the people were hopeful for the normal relation between two countries but the result was not positive. The ever issue of terrorism become the problem again. Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party accused of provoking Hinduism pointing against Islamic Pakistan.

India is very serious about China than Pakistan. Modi government is following the two pillar diplomacy about China. Interestingly both countries are continuously in dialogue at the diplomatic level after the Doklam Army stand-off. Indian Priminister Modi and Chinese President Xi meet in China last year for a bilateral talk on different issues. It was likely a positive signal in relations. Another side India is a strong stakeholder of an alliance with America and Japan to check China. Modi government is promoting this policy than the last UPA government. Northern neighboring country Nepal called a pocket friend of India also joint as a strategical partner with China due to the economic blocked done by the Modi government in 2015. Later India trying to build a normal relationship with Kathmandu. Likewise, India is contesting in Srilanka and Maldives against China.
    

The general election for seventeenth Loksabha is starting from April 11 to 19 May in seven phases in India. the counting votes will be started on 23 May. The outgoing Loksabha was in good strength of Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA and Narendra Modi became the Priminister of India in 2014. People are very interestingly participating in this parliament election.

Bharatiya Janata Party government made strength in the foreign policy in the lite of UPA government. Most of the diplomat belief that the fundamental foreign policy will not be changed in the condition if the Bharatiya Janata Party lost the battle of this election.  

The election is mainly playing on the basis of Hinduism and secularism. Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is raising the issue of fundamental Hinduism that is ambitious to define India as a Hindu state where the Congress-led Grand coalition is in the side of secularism.

Bharatiya Janata Party will be judged on the basis of its performance in the past five years by people. The opposition is digging the ditch for BJP's wrongdoings.
